Last Station Nursing Home

“Jimmy,” he was asked, “what can I do to make sure that my loved one is safe and well taken care of in a nursing home or assisted living facility?”

Showing up is the number one way to make sure your loved one is safe, Jimmy Segura explains. “You are going to be the best person to know if your loved one is safe and being taken care of.”

Calling and checking in is important, but that is no substitute for being present at the facility.

In this video, Segura talks about the best times to show up, what staff to get to know, how to use your senses to detect potential problems, what meetings to attend, and who to call if you aren’t getting satisfaction for expressed concerns.
