IcyRoadWreck

South Carolinians were recently reminded that while we don’t get winter weather often, when it happens, driving becomes difficult.

If someone can’t get to work because of icy roads or dangerous road conditions, could an employer terminate an employee?

Grant Varner with Varner and Segura explains why that could happen in an at-will employment state like South Carolina.

In this video, Grant Varner mentions the need to contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or EEOC if you feel you or someone you know was wrongfully terminated and had your rights violated.

We want to make sure you have that contact information available, so we included it here

* Email: info@eeoc.gov
* Phone: 1-800-669-4000

He offers an additional piece of advice, too. Make sure you watch the video to learn more.
